  • Decide on your terms and conditions for offering shipping protection and make sure this policy is understood by your team, is compliant with local laws and is publicly available for customers to read. If a customer wants to claim for a missing parcel, you will refer to your policy on what to do (see example policy at bottom of this page).

  • Make your shipping protection product 'available to online store' sales channel, but exclude it from all product collections (so it doesn't show up on your site)

This protection is provided by XX BRAND NAME, an ecommerce website, for the protection of its customers against loss or damage to their purchases during shipping.

  1. Coverage: The protection covers the replacement value of the item being shipped and is limited to the cost of the item, including any applicable taxes, shipping, and handling charges.

  2. Eligible Purchases: All items purchased on XX BRAND NAME and shipped within ELIGIBLE COUNTRY are eligible for coverage under this protection.

  3. Exclusions: This protection does not cover damage or loss resulting from acts of nature (such as floods, earthquakes, and hurricanes), war, terrorism, or any other similar events outside of the control of XX BRAND NAME.

  4. Claims Process: In the event of loss or damage, the customer must notify XX BRAND NAME within 3 business days of receipt of the item. XX BRAND NAME will then initiate a claim on behalf of the customer with the shipping carrier and will provide a replacement item or issue a refund to the customer. Claims are only valid for an order ONE TIME.

  5. Limitation of Liability: XX BRAND NAME shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the loss or damage of the items being shipped.

  6. Modification of Policy: XX BRAND NAME reserves the right to modify this policy at any time and will post any changes on the XX BRAND NAME website.

By purchasing an item on XX BRAND NAME, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions of this Shipping Protection Policy.
