A Mix and Match Bundle lets customers choose their own products across multiple steps to unlock a tiered discount — great for letting shoppers build their own deal (like "3 for 10% off, 4 for 15% off") instead of locking them into a fixed set.
Available on the Plus and Elevate plans.
🧠 Pro Tip: Set your Summary Box Styling to show at both the top and bottom on mobile, and turn on Sticky. It keeps the offer visible no matter where the customer scrolls, making the deal much easier to follow.
🛠️ How to Set It Up
Go to Bundles from the left-hand menu.
Click Create Bundle, then select Mix and Match. This opens the bundle builder.
Use the preview panel on the right to toggle between mobile and desktop views as you build.
Give your bundle a name (e.g. "T-Shirt Bundle").
Choose your discount type: Percentage Off, Amount Off, or Set Price.
Set a Discount Title that reflects the offer (e.g. "10% Off 3 T-Shirts").
Set the Title (shown on the bundle builder itself) and, optionally, a Subtitle for extra context. [SCREENSHOT: Bundle builder title and subtitle fields with live preview]
Scroll to the Offer and Steps section. Here you'll set up Offers and Steps:
An Offer is a tiered discount level (e.g. "3 for 10% off"). If you only have one discount tier, you only need one offer. Add a second offer for a second tier (e.g. "4 for 15% off").
A Step relates to the products available for that offer — typically a specific collection. Multiple steps = multiple collections to choose from at each stage.
For each step, search for and select the collection customers can choose from.
Set Minimum Quantity and Maximum Quantity rules for each step (e.g. minimum 2 in step one, maximum 1 in step two), depending on how you want the offer structured.
Set Accordion Display — show only the first accordion (recommended, for faster load) or have all accordions folded out.
Optionally, check Auto-Advance Accordion to automatically move customers to the next step once they've selected the maximum or suggested number of items in the current one.
Set Product Layout — Grid or Carousel. Grid is recommended for larger catalogs to avoid excessive side-scrolling.
Confirm Summary Box Styling is set to show at both top and bottom, and check Sticky.
Review your discount combination settings — we recommend keeping bundle discounts combinable with product discounts and shipping discounts to avoid conflicts with gift-with-purchase or free shipping offers. Uncheck any you don't want to combine.
Toggle the bundle Live, then click Save.
Once live, copy the Bundle ID shown — you'll need it for further setup.
When a customer completes a mix and match bundle, it creates a parent product that displays as a single bundle item in the cart alongside the individual SKUs they selected — your inventory and fulfillment still treat each item separately behind the scenes. You can edit the parent product's image and description after it's created if you want.
